  4. What this script does:
  5. -- This distribution contains products for multiple IRIX releases.
  6.    This script is used to determine which version of the products
  7.    available on this CD (or this distribution) to install on your system.
  8.  
  9. If you have IRIX 6.2, you should run this script.
  10. -- if you have IRIX 6.2 and do not run this script, incompatible IRIX 5.3 
  11.    software will be presented for installation.
  12. -- if you have IRIX 5.3, it does not matter whether you run the script or not.
  13.    The correct software will be presented for installation.
  14.  
  15. For later versions of IRIX (6.3, 6.4, etc.) this script will not be run and
  16. the correct installation will be chosen automatically by inst(1)/swmgr(1).
  17.
